About

As a serial entrepreneur with a multi-dimensional background, Annie’s core mission has always been the same: helping others. At 10 years old, Annie helped her little sister pick out a new paint color for her bedroom – but she didn’t stop there. One color choice spiraled into a full bedroom makeover, with artwork collages on the walls, an overhaul of the furniture layout, and the creation of a creative, fun space for her to share with her beloved toys. This is Annie’s first interior decorating memory, and her passion has only grown ever since.
In 2013, when she bought her first home, she completely redesigned the interior. Her kitchen reno was even featured on Houzz.

Annie

traded cold, snowy days in New Hampshire for the North Carolina sunshine. She built and designed a semi-custom home in Raleigh – and that was the experience that finally solidified her deep passion for beautiful, functional, inspiring interiors and home spaces.

Annie launched her design business in 2019

Her first professional project was helping her best friend renovate an investment property in downtown Cary. Since then, her passion for interior design has only strengthened, and her mission to help others has expanded into helping them find joy and peace in their everyday living spaces.

Meet The Team

Karly Gruener

Designer

Karly has 13 years of experience in the home furnishings and interior design industries. Throughout her career, she has worked on projects ranging from tiny homes to multimillion-dollar estates, from corporate offices to event stages. With a background in home staging, Karly has worked with every design style and loves helping clients bring their visions for their homes to life.

Karly has an MBA and loves business almost as much as she loves design! She relocated from Phoenix, AZ to Raleigh in 2020, and when she’s not working on design projects, she loves exploring the triangle area, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Luisa Lamos

Project manager

Luisa is a dedicated, pro-active individual, able to successfully communicate between clients, designers, and contractors to ensure every project is completed as efficiently as possible. Luisa has worked with homeowners and contractors for six years, completing renovations from powder room updates to large-scale house flips. 

With a strong customer service background and an even stronger work ethic, Luisa is the perfect person to manage any project from start to finish. When she’s not managing projects for Spotted Interior Design, Luisa enjoys spending time on her artwork and camping with her boyfriend and two pups.
